Founder & Managing Partner
William Carrington brings more than 35 years of experience in private equity and corporate finance. Prior to founding Montclair Capital, he served as a senior partner at a lower middle-market investment firm where he led over 40 acquisitions across business services, healthcare, and industrial sectors.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Carrington held senior roles in leveraged finance at a national investment bank, structuring and underwriting middle-market transactions. He has served on the boards of numerous privately held companies and continues to advise leadership teams on governance, capital allocation, and strategic growth.
Thomas J. Whitmore
Partner
Thomas Whitmore has over 30 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, and operational turnarounds. He previously served as CFO of a multi-state industrial services company where he led a successful recapitalization and eventual exit to a strategic buyer.
Mr. Whitmore began his career in public accounting before transitioning into corporate development and private investment. His expertise includes financial structuring, risk management, and building scalable operational frameworks within growth-stage companies.

Richard Montgomery brings four decades of executive leadership experience across manufacturing and distribution businesses. He has served as CEO and board chairman of multiple privately held companies, leading expansion initiatives, operational modernization efforts, and acquisition integrations.
At Montclair, Mr. Montgomery works directly with portfolio company leadership teams to strengthen operational discipline, improve margins, and implement long-term strategic planning initiatives.

Charles Davenport is a veteran capital markets executive with more than 38 years of experience in institutional finance. He previously held senior leadership positions at a regional banking institution, where he oversaw commercial lending and middle-market underwriting.
